OVERVIEW
1. Lecturers from Biology Unit were given pre-survey forms.
2. Pre-survey forms were collected and analysed.
3. Lecturers were given "T&L Made Easy" checklist. They were asked to choose a lesson within that particular week, and use the checklist for reflection process.
4. Post-survey forms were distributed and collected for analysis.
THE CHECKLIST
Ten important aspects have been identified and put into the checklist. The checklist was adapted from Cambridge Teachers' Guide.
For each aspect, the lecturers need to choose between A, B, C or D based on their own T&L reflection after the lesson. A scores the highest mark, followed by B, C and D. Marks for all aspects are totalled so the lecturers will get an overview of the performance.
Besides that, there is a thorough explanation and justification (feedback) attached with the checklist for each aspect. At this early stage, the lecturers may want to refer to the explanation until they get used to it.
IMPROVING LESSON
Since each aspects has its own score, the lecturers may refer to aspect(s) they score lowest to plan the lesson better in the future.
